Has THE MAZE RUNNER Movie Been Postponed?

According to director Wes Ball and author James Dashner on Twitter, the big screen adaption of THE MAZE RUNNER  has been postponed from its February 2014 release date to September, 14th 2014. Here’s what they have had to say.

20th Century Fox’s official website as well as the movie’s official Facebook and Twitter still states February 14th as the release date for the movie, but that could change any moment. As far as we can tell, Fox has not released an official statement stating why the release date has been moved.

What do you think about the new date being moved to only a little less than a year away? Let us know how you guys are going to deal with the extra wait in the comments below.

THE MAZE RUNNER Cast Twitter Chat Recap

Earlier today, many members of the cast  of THE MAZE RUNNER as well as director Wes Ball, author James Dashner and producer Wyck Godfrey held their first official Twitter Chat. Here are a few of the (many) highlights.

“Could You survive in The Maze?”:

The Use of “Glade Lingo”:

Favorite, Hardest, Saddest and Most Difficult Scenes:

Bloopers and General Fun on the Set:

Some Other General Things About the Movie:

The chat officially wrapped with a Facebook video from the cast that you can watch below.

If you think that was a lot of Tweets, you won’t believe the full chat, which you can find on the Maze Runner Movie Twitter.

It was also mentioned a few times that James Dashner is headed to the set to film his cameo in the film tomorrow. Filming wraps on Friday. Producer Wyck Godfrey also made a point to say that THE MAZE RUNNER may still have some Comic Con presence besides James Dashner participating in the “What’s Behind the Door: Fiction that Thrills” panel on Sunday

THE MAZE RUNNER Cast To Be on Live Twitter Chat, Introduces Gally Character Card

Hey gladers!  Just found this on The Maze Runner Facebook page:

Yep, that’s Will Poulter as Gally in what they’re calling a character card.  Not sure how many character cards we’ll be getting, but I love this one and can’t wait to see the rest of them!  They will be holding a live twitter chat on July 8th, and you can submit your questions to the cast using the hashtag #MazeRunnerChat.  They have not listed who exactly will be participating in the chat, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!

Design Your Own Dashner Army Logo in the DASHNER ARMY LOGO CHALLENGE!

Random House Children’s Books knows that the Dashner Army is out there and they’re asking for those willing to create your own “Dashner Army” logo!  What’s really cool about it is that one of those logos will ultimately be THE logo for all Dashner Army members social platforms, as well as possible future promotions via Random House!  How cool is that!

There will be a link provided tomorrow on James Dashner’s upcoming new trilogy, The Eye of Minds, at www.theeyeofminds.com.  [UPDATE: link corrected]

Entries will be accepted (and the live link tomorrow will include the email to send your design to, etc) online or via snail mail until July 25th. James Dashner himself will select the ten finalists, whose designs will be posted online July 30th.  From there, members of the Dashner Army will select the winning logo themselves via an online vote. The winning logo will be posted August 8th, and the winner will receive a signed copy of THE EYE OF MINDS and a personal phone call from James Dashner.

So, check out The Eye of Minds website tomorrow for all the details, including where to send your design!

Also, the next James Dashner (@jamesdashner) twitter chat will be this Thursday, June 27th, starting at 9pm ET.  He’ll discuss the challenge there, too.

First Tweet from the real Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Make no mistake, this is from Thomas Brodie-Sangster himself:

And how do we know this is really Newt?

Thanks to MazeRunnerNet for the heads up!

James Dashner Twitter Chat Tonight

James Dashner will be hosting his monthly Dashner Chat on Twitter tonight at 9 P.M. ET.James Dashner author The Maze Runner The Scorch Trials The Death Cure The Kill Order

To ask him a question, all you have to do is send him a tweet (@jamesdashner) with the hashtag #DashnerChat on the end. You can also use the hashtag #DashnerArmy to show you a fan of all of James’s works and not just The Maze Runner. James will answer questions for an hour. I would expect this chat to be mostly centered around James’s upcoming book The Eye of Minds as opposed to the movie adaption of  The Maze Runner, but we can expect that he will tweet his praise for the cast and crew of the movie at least a few times.

Even if you can’t tune in tonight to James’s Twitter for the Q & A, do not fret because we will post any big news right here afterwards!
